  • Dr. Shawn Kile is a board-certified neurologist with expertise in treating cognitive disorders.
  • He cares for patients with dementia, traumatic brain injury, autism, encephalopathy, and other neurocognitive illnesses.
  • Dr. Kile has authored numerous publications and presented internationally on new approaches to managing Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, neurobehavioral disorders and traumatic brain injury.
  • He is a Principal Investigator for physician-initiated trials and phase 2-3 clinical studies assessing the efficacy of new therapies for Alzheimer’s disease and adult autism. 
  • Dr. Kile is the Dementia and Cognition Lead for the Sutter Neuroscience Research Consortium.

Training

Dr. Kile received his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch and he completed residency training in psychiatry and neurology at the University of California, Davis. He conducted fellowship training in cognitive-behavioral neurology at the University of California, Davis.
